내가 즐겨 보는 영국 BBC 프로그램 중 하나인 TopGear 의 홈페이지 중 현대 차 에 관한 후기가 있어서
올려본다.

Our verdict
Apparently new but desperately off the pace mid-size saloon, the Sonata still represents Hyundai of old. Poorly styled and uncompetitive with Europe’s best.
“보기에는 신상품인데 시대에 뒤쳐진 중간크기의 세단이다. 소나타는 여전히 예전의 현대를 대표하고 있다. 빈약한 스타일로 유럽의 좋은 차들과는 경쟁력이 없다.”
Comfort
Lacking the level of refinement people have come to expect in this segment, the Sonata really isn’t good enough to do all those middle management miles that the Mondeo was designed to plough through.

Performance
The surprisingly sprightly 2.0-litre diesel engine would be your best bet. There is a much faster 3.3-litre V6 petrol, but would you? In a Hyundai?

Bearing in mind you have the current, or even last gen, Mondeo as the handling benchmark in this sector, the Sonata
singularly fails to make an impact. Expect possibly with the central reservation.

Practicality
The Sonata has a seriously big boot, so yes, it is practical. But that doesn’t excuse everything else about it that’s so truly dreadful. Remember the big picture here.

Hyundai tends to build its cars well, even the bad ones. So the Sonata is unlikely to give you any grief. Haggle down
hard on the price and you could do quite well over a couple of years.

잘못된 부분이나 의견 있어 알려주면 완전 고마울 일 같다.
여기 진행자인 Jeremy Clarkson 은 정말 웃긴 사람이긴 한데 유독 현대,기아에 대해서 차갑다.
인정해야 될 부분도 있지만..왠지 방송에서 Cheap , Dog , North korea 항상 이런 것들로만 얘기되어지는 게 안타깝다.
